The contract covers transport and handling of all pipelines from Leith in the UK to Haugaland Naeringspark (Gismervik, Tysvaer) in Norway for Statoil's Gudrun development in the Norwegian North Sea. Work is expected to commence in February 2012. The project will be managed by an ASCO team at a site just north of Stavanger.

Runar Hatletvedt, managing director of Northern Europe at ASCO, said: "ASCO has a wealth of experience in delivering a safe, collaborative and on-time specialist oil and gas logistics service in some of the most challenging environments across Norway and around the world. We look forward to using this experience to support Statoil in the efficient delivery of its Gudrun project in 2012."
