Suzlon Wind Energy receives OMS contract extension from EDPR

The extended agreement is for maintaining the fleet of all 190 units of the S88 2.1 MW wind turbine generators (WTGs), totalling to =400MW, installed across four sites Rattlesnake and Wheatfield in Oregon, Meadow Lake in Indiana and the Kittitas Valley in Washington.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr Andy Cukurs, CEO, SWECO, said, "The contract extension reaffirms our customers trust in our service and product quality standards. This is one of our long-standing customers and we are proud to be partnering with them for deployment of clean energy solutions. With over 2,700 MW of installations, making it our 2nd largest region, USA. will play a pivotal role in our future growth strategy. The recently announced Production Tax Credit (PTC) extension for a block of five years demonstrates the US commitment towards renewable energy. Suzlon is committed to contributing towards this transition of USA. from traditional fossil fuels to cleaner forms of energy."
