The work is being done by our contract partner Amec Foster Wheeler, and started on 29 March. We anticipate it will take around five weeks to complete.

Wales & West Utilities has worked closely with City & County of Swansea Council in planning this work to keep disruption for residents and road users to a minimum. Traffic lights will be in place at the junctions of Middle Road with Ravenhill Road, Ffordd y Brain and Beverley Gardens as the work progresses. We have written to local residents letting them know what they can expect while we are working.

Wales & West Utilities Programme Controller for Wales, Francis Kirk, said: "We know the effect that this sort of work can have on communities, and we will have a team on site throughout the project to make sure that we get the job finished as safely and as quickly as possible to minimize disruption for local people and road users.

"This is the final phase of a gas pipe investment programme for the area, essential to make sure homes and businesses continue to receive a safe and reliable gas supply now and into the future."
